Right from your doorstep, you can choose between tackling the most challenging peaks or enjoying the family friendly trails in the surrounding farmlands.

Tyin-Filefjell also has a great reputation for fishing. The area boasts a plethora of mountain lakes and rivers, allowing for large trout.

Besides good fishing, the lakes at Tyin-Filefjell have become popular for kayakers. Choose between several possibilities with the Filefjellstuene Lodge as your starting point. 

Not far away are the towns of Årdal and Laerdal, which offer salmon fishing in their famous rivers. In Laerdal, golf is also a popular activity.

Everything you need is within 45 minutes by car from the Filefjellstuene Lodge. The town of Flam is about an hour away.

For hunting enthusiasts, there are several areas available for hunting grouse.

The old King’s route, known as Kongeveien,, as well as numerous other mountain roads provides countless opportunities for cycling in the mountains.

For downhill mountain bike enthusiasts, we have the many trials of increasing popularity. By staying at the Filefjellstuene Lodge you can choose between a variety of hiking and biking destinations.
