Regulations

General rules 

By signing up, you confirm that: 

  • You are familiar with the risks and dangers of the race.  
  • You are in good physical shape. 
  • You are familiar with navigating by GPS on your own. The race is not marked. All runners must bring their own handheld GPS or GPS watch with a full battery and downloaded GPX file (coming soon). GPS on a mobile phone is not approved.
  • You have familiarized yourself with the race route before the start of the race. 
  • You are required to attend and participate in the information meeting prior to the race. 
  • You are required to bring everything on the mandatory equipment list.
  • You agree that the organizer may withdraw you from the race at any time for your own safety. You are then obligated to cancel the race and return to the nearest meeting point and follow the organizer's instructions. 
  • You use common sense when traveling in the mountains. 
  • You know what to do if you encounter unexpected storms in the mountains. 
  • You are obligated to help others if an emergency occurs.  
  • You are obliged not to throw garbage into nature.  
  • You know that pushing/pushing is not acceptable and may lead to disqualification.   
  • You know that if you have to stop the race, you are obliged to notify the nearest official or the race's emergency number immediately. 
  • You agree that the organizer and partners can publish photos of you without asking.  
  • You know that the race may be changed or canceled if it is not safe to carry out for safety reasons, and that the participation fee will not be refunded.  

Start number

  • The starting number must be visible during the competition.
  • It is not allowed to change/add anything to the start number, lost start numbers must be replaced. 
  • All participants must pick up their start number at the designated location before the race.  

On the way on the trail

  • All officials wear yellow vests.  
  • All participants must follow the designated course profile and all runners will be verified at selected locations.  
  • If weather/wind or other unforeseen circumstances make it inappropriate to carry out the event as initially planned, the organizer has the right to change the race route with the goal of carrying out the event as best as possible.  

Insurance

The event, Tyin Filefjell AS or our partners are not responsible for participants who injure themselves or become unwell during the competition. Each participant is responsible for being sufficiently well trained and familiar with where the course is and calculating where to run according to the course profile, in order to avoid unfortunate situations.  

Privacy Policy

By registering, you agree to the competition format and rules, and agree that your name, date of birth, location, start number and time may be published. Photos and films taken in connection with the event may be used freely by the organizer and sponsors for marketing purposes. 

Disclaimer

Everyone who registers for the event agrees to the disclaimer (Participants under 18 years of age must have a signed declaration from their parents when collecting their start number). Violation of the rules will lead to disqualification. Any questions should be directed to ida@tyin.no

Disclaimer

Disclaimer for Tyin Filefjell Ultra

As with any other race, there may be some risk involved. The athlete must assume responsibility for any risks and injuries that may occur in connection with participating in the competition. It is assumed that the participant has agreed to the organizer's regulations.

The athlete has full and complete responsibility for participating in the competition, and must assess their skills against the difficulty of the race. The organizer has conducted a risk analysis/assessment, and will, to the extent deemed necessary, take measures to prevent unwanted incidents. At some points/intersections, we will have officials directing and monitoring the competition. In addition, the Grindaheim Red Cross Aid Corps will assist during the event. 

Disclaimer

As a participant in the event "Tyin Filefjell Ultra", I accept full and complete responsibility for my running skills, and cannot make claims against the organizer or its partners for any injuries or accidents that may occur. I accepted this when registering for the event.

Anyone under the age of 18 must have a signature from a parent or guardian in order to participate. This must be signed when receiving a start number.
