3. CANCELLATION AND AMENDMENT

The terms below apply to private individuals. For groups/conferences with more than 10 rooms/units or larger groups of over 20 people, separate cancellation terms apply. Please contact us by sending an email to booking@tyin.no

3.1. For your stay, dining, activities, and equipment rental:

Deadline for cancellation and changes to accommodation and other products purchased via www.tyin.no, email, or phone.

If a cancellation or change is made at least 7 days prior to arrival, the full amount will be refunded.

3.2. For Tyin Aktiv/activities and packages combining accommodation and activities organized by TF, the following also applies:

3.2.1. Cancellation Policy

For cancellations or changes made less than 15 days before arrival, the following applies:

3.2.1. Health Information.

Participants are obliged to disclose all health-related information that may affect safety during the activity.

3.2.2 Risks associated with our activities

Participation in our activities/tours involves a certain risk of accidents and injuries. Participant(s) are obliged to follow the safety instructions given by the activity leader(s) throughout the activity. Tyin Aktiv assumes no financial obligations for damage to persons or equipment, unless the incident or accident is due to gross negligence on the part of the activity leader.

3.2.3 In case of bad weather.

If the weather is too poor for the activity/trip you have booked, an alternative activity/trip will be offered. In cases of bad weather or poor conditions in the relevant area/routes, Tyin Aktiv may need to change the activity/trip. Tyin Aktiv is then obliged to ensure that the change causes the least possible inconvenience to the participant(s). In such instances, Tyin Aktiv will offer the participant(s) an alternative trip/activity during the same period. The participant(s) will then pay for the trip/activity that is carried out. If Tyin Aktiv cannot offer an alternative activity/trip, the participant(s) have the right to a full refund of the registration fee or, by agreement, to postpone the trip/activity. For kite courses, unsuitable wind may result in less optimal learning conditions. For this course, the registration fee is not refunded; instead, a new course will be arranged to cover any missing training from the completed course.

3.2.4 In case of illness of the activity leader.

In the event of illness or injury to an activity leader, Tyin Aktiv will endeavor to provide a replacement with equivalent competence. Should we be unsuccessful, we may have to change or cancel the event. If Tyin Aktiv cannot offer an alternative activity leader, the participant(s) have the right to a full refund of the registration fee for the specific activity that is cancelled.

In case of illness/injury to participant(s), personal travel or accident insurance must be used. Participants are obliged to disclose all health-related information that may affect safety during the activity.

6. TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR SKI PASSES

6.1. Terms for reimbursement of season passes for Tyin Filefjell Skisenter

6.1.1. The season pass follows ALF's regulations: reimbursement is not applicable in the event of operational shutdowns* lasting more than one-third of the season pass's validity period. The validity period for season passes applies from the ski center's season start to season end. Reimbursement applies to ski days that could not be utilized during the remaining part of the season due to the operational shutdown. The number of days in the season is calculated from the ski resort's first ordinary opening day.

*Operational shutdowns are stoppages caused by events beyond the control of management, which could not have been foreseen at the time of sale or whose consequences could not have been avoided. Operational shutdowns due to wind, weather, snow conditions, or unforeseen technical problems are not included.

6.1.2. Season passes (full price / ordinary price) can be cancelled in accordance with previous sections. The season pass's activation date is considered to be when the card is first used in the lift. Season passes that have not been activated can therefore be cancelled at any time during the season with the right to a full refund. Refunds after activation of the season pass are not approved, with the exception of cases where ALF's regulations regarding operational shutdowns can be applied, see paragraph 3.5.1.

6.1.3. Season passes (early bird / discount) cannot be cancelled or refunded for any reason.

6.2 When you buy a ski pass online at tyin.no, you must have a keycard with a WTP code. The keycard is activated as your ticket upon the first passage through the turnstile at the first lift you arrive at.

After a correctly completed online payment, you will receive a receipt by email. The receipt will contain all details of your purchase and can be brought to the ski resort. Remember to check your spam/junk folder, in case the receipt is sent there.
The order is not completed and not valid in the following cases:
- The customer has not received an email receipt with a confirmation/reference number.
- Card payment is interrupted for various reasons and the payment fails.
- The payment is not completed fully or correctly, so the amount is not debited from the account.

If you need assistance, you can get help inside the Skishop in Børrenøse at the bottom of the Børrenøsheisen lift or at the lift house at the bottom of the Tørisheisen lift.

6.3 Ski passes are strictly personal and cannot be transferred to others in any way. Any illegal transfer of the ski pass to another person will result in its confiscation, regardless of whether the transfer was intentional or deliberate. The user must be able to prove that he/she is the rightful owner of the card. The card must be presented without request upon inspection. Season passes are valid during ordinary opening hours from the beginning of the winter season until its end.

6.4 Season passes without a photo are invalid. It must be possible to easily identify the cardholder (eyes and face must be visible, no ski goggles, buff, or similar).

6.5 An illegally transferred season pass can be reactivated once for a fee of NOK 2000. Upon a second offense, the season pass will be permanently confiscated.

6.6 If a season pass is lost, a new one can be issued at Skishop Børrenøse for a fee of NOK 300 (excl. keycard).

6.7 There is no right of return for ski passes, including keycards.

6.8 In case of misuse or violation of the Alpine Safety Rules (see section 7), the ski pass may be confiscated without compensation.

6.9 No compensation is given for unforeseen operational shutdowns, for example due to bad weather, power outages, machine failure, or similar. Parts of the trail network may be closed periodically and reserved for competitions and training.

6.10 A keycard is mandatory for all types of passes due to the contactless access system.

6.11 Children aged 0-6, wearing a helmet and accompanied by an adult, ride the lifts for free. A valid keycard is required.

6.12. Youth (7-17 years) and seniors (65+ years) purchase lift passes at a reduced price. See current price lists on www.Tyin.no for pricing information.

6.13. Regarding age when purchasing lift passes: The age at the time of purchase applies. For example, if a child turns 7 in January, they can still use a 0-6 year lift pass for the entire season if the pass was purchased before their birthday.

6.13.1 Right of return for lift passes: We adhere to the guidelines for the alpine industry set by Norwegian Alpine Resorts and Mountain Destinations (ALF). For more information on refunds, please contact Tyin Filefjell Skisenter in writing at booking@tyin.no

6.13.2 Refund in case of illness or injury
In case of illness or injury, the pass holder will be entitled to a proportional refund of the pass costs for the period the pass could not be used. The injury or illness must be documented by a medical certificate upon request. The ski pass must be returned to the ski center as soon as possible.

6.14. Bad weather, poor snow conditions and/or technical problems: The customer must assess weather and snow conditions based on their own skiing abilities. If you are unsure about weather, snow conditions, and operational status, follow updates on open slopes and lifts at www.Tyin.no, or contact staff before purchasing a lift pass. Please note that weather and conditions can change quickly, and information is for guidance only.

7. SKI SAFETY

7.1. Alpine Safety Rules: When you purchase a lift pass at Tyin Filefjell Ski Center and/or use the ski resort, you commit to following the Alpine Safety Rules, developed in cooperation with Norwegian Alpine Resorts and Mountain Destinations (ALF). Violation of the ski safety rules may result in expulsion from the resort.

 – It is important that you wear a helmet, show consideration for other skiers and snowboarders, and follow the ski safety rules. It should be safe to ski with us, and we all have a responsibility for our own skiing.

 – Responsibility to avoid injury: You must conduct yourself in a manner that does not endanger yourself or others. You must at all times have necessary control over your ski and snowboard equipment. You are responsible for ensuring that your equipment does not cause harm to persons or other property.

 – Adjust speed to conditions: You must ski/ride in a controlled manner, adjusting speed and style to your skill level, terrain, snow conditions, and traffic.

 – Yielding: Those coming from behind (or above) are responsible for skiing/riding in such a way that they do not cause collisions with others.

 – Overtaking/Downhill skiing: You may overtake another skier or snowboarder provided that they are given sufficient space for both controlled and uncontrolled movements. It is forbidden to ski straight downhill without turning, except during organized training.

 – Starting, entering, or traversing uphill on the slope: If you enter or traverse uphill on a slope, you must ensure that this occurs without danger to yourself or others. The same applies to skiing/riding after a stop.

 – Stopping on the slope. Unless absolutely necessary, you should avoid stopping on the slope in narrow areas, under ledges, or in places with limited visibility. After a fall in such a place, you must move away as quickly as possible.

 – On foot on the slope: If you are on foot, you must only use the outer edges of the slope.

 – Ski brakes/leashes: Ski brakes/leashes are mandatory. Check that your bindings are correctly adjusted.

 – Respect signs and markings. For your own and others' safety: follow signs, markings, and instructions. Never ski in slopes or areas that are marked as closed – this can lead to accidents, equipment damage, or, in the worst case, life-threatening situations.

 – It is forbidden to be in the alpine resort outside opening hours. This can be life-threatening as construction work, snow production, and grooming are underway.

 – Assistance in case of accidents: In case of injury, everyone has a duty to help. Witnesses and those involved are obliged to provide personal details. If a guest is injured in the alpine resort, the Ski Patrol can be contacted at +47 41 60 20 30. In case of serious personal injury or accident, you must always contact SOS, tel. 113.

 – Alpine skiing is associated with a certain degree of danger, so please exercise caution. Intoxicants and skiing do not mix.

– Visibly intoxicated persons may be expelled from the resort.

– Getting on and off ski lifts must only occur at designated areas.
