Perhaps our very best view peak?

The 1454 meter high Hødntinden is a popular and family-friendly viewpoint in summer and winter. This is a particularly popular hike in the summer, where the trail starts from Fv 252 towards Eidsbugarden, about 1 km from Tyin Panorama.

The peak's most common route in winter is to walk from Tyin Panorama to Lake Øyangen at approximately 1200 m above sea level. From Øyangen, you continue southeast and aim for the highest point on the ridge, which is Hødntind.

The view is formidable. Perhaps the best view point on the entire Tyin Filefjell. You can continue to the top at 1408 m. above sea level to enjoy the view southward into Valdres.

You can expect about 1.5 hours of walking time up, depending on your pace.
