Trail network and tour options

Tyin Filefjell boasts an extensive network of cross-country ski trails. Approximately 140 kilometers of groomed trails wind through the landscape, both high up on the open mountain plains and down in sheltered forest areas near Tyinkrysset. From Filefjellstuene, you can strap on your skis and choose routes based on weather and skill level. On clear days, the high mountain trails offer magnificent views towards Jotunheimen, while a trip through the forest belt provides more sheltered conditions when the weather is challenging.

For all levels

From gentle loops for beginners to expansive mountain tracks – skiing enjoyment awaits all levels here.

For beginners and families with children, there are several short and easy trails. The illuminated trail from Filefjellstuene is perfect for a leisurely trip – it winds past Tyinkrysset and ends down by Flogstrondfjorden. A great option for both day and evening tours, with a headlamp and hot cocoa in a thermos.

For the more experienced, Tyin Filefjell offers longer ski tours in the high mountain terrain. You can embark on a day trip to the self-service DNT cabin Sulebu, a classic round trip of about 20 km on a groomed trail. Along the way, you'll truly experience the wilderness feeling – often seeing hardly any other people, just white expanses and mountain peaks on the horizon. The area's open terrain provides a true alpine sensation and sweeping views towards Jotunheimen.
