Perhaps our very best viewpoint?

The 1454-meter high Hødntind is a popular and family-friendly viewpoint peak year-round. It is especially popular in summer, with the trail starting from County Road 252 towards Eidsbugarden, approximately 1 km from Tyin Panorama.

The most common winter route to the summit is to go from Tyin Panorama to Lake Øyangen, approximately 1200 masl. From Øyangen, continue southeast, aiming for the highest point on the ridge, which is Hødntind.

The view is magnificent. Perhaps the best viewpoint in all of Tyin Filefjell. You can continue to the peak at 1408 meters above sea level to enjoy the view south over Valdres.

You can expect the ascent to take approximately 1.5 hours, depending on your pace.
