Mjølkevegen
The Milky Way is one of Norway's most beautiful cycling tours.
The tour runs through beautiful mountain and pasture landscapes from Vinstra in Gudbrandsdalen, through large parts of Valdres, to Gol in Hallingdal. The route is part of national cycle route number 5.
The entire route is approximately 250 km, but it's also possible to cycle shorter stages adapted to your level and desired time commitment. The tour is well-marked in both directions from Ruten Fjellstue in Espedalen to Storefjell Resort Hotel on Golsfjellet. The tour through Valdres offers some of Norway's largest and most active summer farm areas, such as Jotunheimvegen in the east and Stølsvidda in the west. The cycle route mainly follows summer farm roads with little car traffic.
