From Filefjellstuene you walk south through the forest into clear terrain, towards trail no. 9 in the Ski Resort. Here you can follow, or cross it. The terrain consists of gentle surfaces with some smaller, but steep formations, which make it easy to find good route options. Along the way you get gradually better views of the area around Tyin and Filefjell. If you stay too far to the west, closer to the lift facility, it becomes steeper and somewhat more prone to avalanches.

The peak at 1297 meters above sea level provides a good overview of the surrounding area, with views in several directions.

The descent normally follows the same route as the ascent, on gentle and easy terrain. The trip can also be done as a simple round trip by following trails down through the ski center, depending on snow conditions and open trails.

Børrenøse is a hike that is well suited for beginners, families and for those who want a short and easy hike starting right from the door. Perfect for a workout with a headlamp!
