Stølsnøse is an easy and very beautiful summit hike for the whole family. The peak can be ascended from several directions, depending on weather and snow conditions.
The safest route starts from Tyin, and it often has good snow conditions. This route is well-suited for both adults and children who have a solid foundation of skiing skills and enjoy uphill climbs.
Alternatively, the mountain can be ascended from Bjørdalen. Here, there are several steeper options where you must have control over snow conditions to proceed safely.
Parking: Lay-by along national road 53 at the south-west end of Lake Tyin, or right at the start of national road 53 by Tyinkrysset, at the entrance to Bjørdalen.
