Tunnel adventure through Owemigen
Experience excitement and views on a cave hike in Årdal.
In collaboration with Bulder & Brak Opplevingar, we offer a truly unique hiking experience that takes you straight through the mountain in a river tunnel, with fjord views from the tunnel opening as your reward. The route goes up Geisdalen from Årdalstangen to the tunnel entrance. The tunnel was originally built to divert water from the Geisdøla river away from the industrial area below, and in winter, it's like walking through a dark ice tunnel. You will be equipped with a headlamp and crampons for the journey through the tunnel. At the end of the tunnel, you'll stand at the top of a waterfall that plunges down the mountainside into the Sognefjord.

Round-trip transport to Filefjellstuene is included.
3 km hike on a trail to the tunnel opening. 600 meters one way through the tunnel. The same way back.
NB! The trip cannot be undertaken in temperatures above freezing.
