A relatively easily accessible 2000-meter peak
The hike to the 2075-meter high Galdeberget is feasible for most people in reasonably good shape.
The hike starts from Eidsbugarden, where there are good parking facilities.
Follow the DNT trail marked for Gjendebu at the start. After the bridge over Høystakka, turn off the trail and head towards the summit to the east. Pass Uksedalshøe, 1694 meters above sea level, on the south side.
Cross a new river directly west of a small lake at 1490 meters above sea level. From here upwards, it's a rocky ascent through scree on the ridge, which becomes increasingly defined.
