Regulations

General Rules 

By registering, you confirm that: 

  • You are aware of the risks and dangers of the race.  
  • You are in good physical condition. 
  • You are familiar with navigating by GPS independently. The race is not marked. All runners must carry their own handheld GPS or GPS watch with a full battery and a downloaded GPX file (coming soon). GPS on mobile phones is not approved.  
  • You have thoroughly familiarized yourself with the race course before the start. 
  • You are obliged to attend and pay attention during the information meeting prior to the race. 
  • You are required to bring all items on the mandatory equipment list.
  • You agree that the organizer may withdraw you from the race at any time due to your own safety. You are then obliged to discontinue the race, return to the nearest meeting point, and follow the organizer's instructions. 
  • You use common sense when traversing the mountains. 
  • You know what to do if you encounter unexpected bad weather in the mountains. 
  • You are obliged to help others if an emergency arises.  
  • You are obliged not to litter in nature.  
  • You understand that pushing/shoving is not acceptable and may lead to disqualification.   
  • You understand that if you must withdraw from the race, you are obliged to notify the nearest official or call the race's emergency number immediately. 
  • You agree that the organizer and partners may publish photos of you without prior consent.  
  • You understand that the race may be altered or cancelled if it is deemed unsafe to proceed for security reasons, and that the participant fee will not be refunded in such cases.  

Bib Number

  • Bib numbers must be visible during the competition.
  • It is not permitted to alter/add anything to the bib number; lost bib numbers must be replaced. 
  • All participants must collect their bib numbers at the designated location before the race.  

Along the Course

  • All officials wear yellow vests.  
  • All participants must follow the designated course profile, and all runners will be verified at selected checkpoints.  
  • If weather/wind or other unforeseen circumstances make it unsafe to conduct the event as originally planned, the organizer reserves the right to alter the race course with the aim of completing the event as best as possible.  

Insurance

The event, Tyin Filefjell AS, or our partners are not responsible for participants who injure themselves or experience a medical emergency during the competition. Each participant is solely responsible for being adequately trained and understanding the course, as well as calculating where to run according to the course profile, to avoid unfortunate situations.  

Privacy Policy

By registering, you approve the competition format and rules, and agree that your name, date of birth, location, bib number, and time may be published. Photos and videos taken in connection with the event may be freely used by the organizer and sponsors for marketing purposes. 

Disclaimer

All participants who register for the event agree to the liability waiver (participants under 18 must have a signed declaration from parents when collecting their bib number). Violation of regulations will lead to disqualification. Any questions should be directed to line@tyin.no

Disclaimer for Tyin Filefjell Ultra

As with any activity, this race may also involve some risk. Participants must take responsibility for risks and injuries that may occur in connection with participation in the competition. It is assumed that the participant understands the organizer's regulations.

Participants bear full responsibility in connection with participation in the competition and must assess their skills against the race's difficulty level. The organizer has conducted a risk analysis/assessment and will, to the extent deemed necessary, implement measures to prevent undesirable incidents. At certain points/crossings, we will have officials directing and supervising the competition. Furthermore, the Grindaheim Red Cross Aid Corps will assist during the event.

As a participant in the «Tyin Filefjell Ultra» event, I accept full responsibility for my running abilities and cannot make claims against the organizer or its partners for any injuries or accidents that may occur. I accept this upon registration for the event. 

Privacy Policy for Tyin Filefjell Ultra

Everyone under 18 must have a guardian's signature to participate. This must be signed when collecting the bib number.
