Holiday Quiz at Skikaféen
Join the Christmas holiday quiz at 6:30 PM, led by the mountain's (and ski shop's) very own Øyvind Stende. There will be a great atmosphere, and Julie's Christmas holiday mulled wine will be served throughout the evening.
Practical information:
- Pre-registration is required.
- Max. 4 per team, and registration fee NOK 100,- per person.
- Prizes for the three best teams.
- Age limit 18 years.
Christmas at Tyin Filefjell
On December 26th, Santa will appear on the slopes around 11:00 AM, inviting children to mimic skiing in the children's area. Best suited for children aged 5–12, and requires them to be able to ride the Children's Lift on their own.
The activity lasts just under an hour – and it's rumored that Santa might have something in his sack...

The quiz is sold out.
Join an atmospheric torchlight procession after closing time on January 1st. Meet at the card reader for the Børrenøse lift between 3:30 PM and 3:45 PM, before we ride straight up and start the procession. Torches are free and will be handed out at the top. From there, we will ski down together in the dark – and finish with warm juice on the terrace at Skikaféen.
The event is open to everyone. Younger or less experienced participants can join, as long as they are accompanied by an adult who can assist them.

Tyin Filefjell Ski Centre
During the Christmas holidays, the ski center is open daily from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM, offering varied slopes and safe surroundings for both adults and children.
At the foot of the Børrenøse lift, you'll find Skikaféen, offering lunch, fresh pastries, snacks, and warm drinks – perfect for a break between runs.
And for those who wish to develop their skiing skills, we offer ski school with private lessons for all levels, from the very youngest to experienced skiers. Ski school must be booked in advance and follows the ski center's opening hours.
