Winter Holiday at Tyin Filefjell

The Tyin Cup 2026 consists of four competitions for ski-loving girls and boys aged 7–15, focusing on achievement, community, and great experiences on the slopes – and, of course, a little extra excitement with timing, an announcer, and music.

Sunday, February 15, marks Tyin Cup Part 2, and this time, skicross is on the program! Registration is free, but to participate, you must sign up using the form below. 

A fun classic during the winter holiday – at Tyin Filefjell! The Juice Cup Race isn't about skiing the fastest, but about making it down the slope with a cup of juice in one hand. 

The rules are simple: Participants start at the top of the children's lift with a full cup of juice, and the goal is to have as much juice as possible left in the cup at the finish line. The fastest time and most juice in the cup wins!

The Juice Cup Race is held on the children's slope and is perfect for children who want to join a small, fun challenge with lots of laughter and a great atmosphere. The race starts at 12:00 PM on the children's slope.

Medals for everyone, prizes from Årdalsnett, and freshly baked buns and juice refills for participants after the race.

Practical information:

• Age: 0-14 years, provided they can use the lift alone or have parents assisting them. 
• Registration must be done online.
• Meet at the children's lift from 11:00 AM.
• Price: NOK 50.
• Helmets are mandatory!

Welcome to evening skiing! This evening, we are keeping the Børrenøsheisen lift and the children's area open, so you can enjoy floodlit skiing and a true winter atmosphere in the mountains.

The lifts run non-stop until 8:00 PM, so just put on your skis and make the most of the evening.

Learn about safe travel in the mountains and acquire the techniques you need to master ski touring on your own. This course is suitable for new ski touring enthusiasts who want to learn about skiing outside groomed trails.

This 2-day course is for those without avalanche knowledge who wish to learn about safe travel on ski tours. We start from the beginning here. Come as you are and join us in creating a great learning environment.

The tours will primarily take place in the Tyin Filefjell area, where the terrain offers excellent opportunities for easy and enjoyable skiing, as well as varied terrain with great learning possibilities.

This afternoon, our partner, Årdalsnett, is sponsoring a ski evening for everyone who wants to enjoy wonderful, illuminated skiing in the winter darkness. The Børrenøsheisen lift is lit up, meaning slope 5 (black) and the children's area are open this evening.

The Ski Cafe is also open – perfect for a warm break between runs.

Registration 

• Registration via the form is mandatory for those who do not already have a season pass or other valid card this evening. If you are not pre-registered, you will not receive a free lift pass. 
• 300 spots available, it's first come, first served!
• Upon registered enrollment, you will receive a confirmation by email. This must be presented when collecting your free lift pass.
• The lift pass must be collected in person at Børrenøsheisen at the start of the evening skiing. 
• By registering, you confirm that you have read and accepted our terms of sale and the alpine safety rules.
• Registration deadline: Friday, February 20 at 12:00.

On Saturday, February 21st, we invite you to afterski at Reint Bord! There will be evening skiing on the Tørisheisen lift until 6 PM, and then the evening continues with afterski in true mountain style. Reint Bord opens at 12:00. 

Reint Bord offers afterski with charm and a twinkle in its eye – perhaps Norway's smallest, but with a great atmosphere, generosity, and genuine mountain coziness. Whether you want to take a short break after a day on the slopes, or make it an entire evening, you are warmly welcome. Do you dream of owning a cabin at Tyin Filefjell? Welcome to a pleasant chat about your mountain cabin dream and the opportunities in the Børrelie plot area – a fantastic location for those who want to be close to the mountains, with nature, views, and great experiences right outside your door.

Mountain Broker Eli Bjørketun Bøe, along with developers Faun and Vang Bygg, will have a stand at Skikaféen on Friday, February 21st, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. On this day, you can join a viewing of the area, get a presentation of the plots, and ask questions about location, the purchasing process, and the opportunities within the development.

Join us for a pleasant and fun bingo evening during the winter break! This evening, Marianne Riste will host the bingo – and that could mean laughter, small tangents, and surprises along the way.

About tonight's bingo host:
Marianne Riste is the head librarian at Vang Public Library. She jokes and fusses a lot, but is an adult and can behave accordingly when necessary – according to the library's website – which makes her a perfect bingo host for a fun evening at Fjellpuben!

Saturday, March 7, marks the third part of Tyin Cup, and this time parallel slalom is on the program! This is the second-to-last race in this year's Tyin Cup, following completed races in giant slalom and ski cross.
