How the Pole Hunt works

The pole hunt is about finding poles that are placed in the surrounding area in the mountain village. Some in central areas and some further into the mountains. The goal is to facilitate the activation of both young and old, regardless of functional ability. This year we will offer 2 different maps with a total of 110 poles in our area.

Map "Tyinkrysset" with 60 posts – start May 29

Map "Tyin-Filefjell" with 50 poles – starting June 21st subject to snow conditions

It is important that you change maps in the Stolpejakten app.

Map

To find the poles, you need a map of the Stolpejakten Tyin–Filefjell. The maps can be downloaded in the Stolpejakten app, where both are located under "Vang – Tyin". Remember to update the pole data in the app for 2026.

How to register post visits

To register your pole visits and be entered into the draw for great prizes, do the following:

With app

Download the “Stolpejakten” app for free from the App Store or Google Play to your phone, and take your phone out on a pole hunt. Scan the QR codes on the poles you find with the app on your phone. Behind each QR code you will find stories, information and some videos from the area.
Posts registered with the app sync with stolpejakten.no the next time the device is connected to the internet.

You can learn more about the Pole Hunt here.
