Welcome to Tyin Filefjell Frisbee Golf

We are pleased to welcome you to our new 18-hole disc golf course!

Here you play in beautiful nature and with views of our mountains. The course has different routes that make it suitable for both those who have never tried disc golf before and for experienced players.

Key information about the track

We are very proud of our course which offers something for all levels. Here you will find suitable challenges for those who are completely new to frisbee, as well as for the experienced player who has played a lot before. To achieve the best possible score you need to master many different types of throws, interpret tee signs well and think a little outside the box.

Routes:

The course has 3 different routes that are marked on signs at the start and in the Udisc app.

Orange route: Short round of 4 holes that is perfect for families and beginners.

Red route: Complete 18-hole course for those who are a little more advanced in disc golf.

Blue route: Complete 18-hole course for experienced players who want a challenge.

The course is well marked with signs showing the way to the next draft, and to the basket from the draft. If you don't see a sign from the red or orange basket, you will find it after the blue basket.

Place:

The course is located at Filefjellstuene . The starting point is at the bridge where Kongevegen crosses Grøvstølvegen.

Terrain:

This is a mountain course, so dress appropriately for the weather and wear good shoes. This is not a course for regular sneakers, hiking boots are recommended.

Tyin Filefjell disc golf course is a free offering open to everyone.

Daily frisbee rental

Frisbees can be rented or purchased at the reception at Filefjellstuene .

Price: NOK 50 for a set of three frisbees, or NOK 25 per professional disc.

Lost and found

If you find frisbees without an owner in nature, you can hand them in at the reception at Filefjellstuene .

Toilet:

There are toilets at Filefjellstuene , which is located at the start and finish point of the course. Please contact reception to borrow a toilet.

There is also an outdoor toilet on the opposite side of the road from draft 5 along the royal road. This is also marked on the overview map that you can find on the website or at the start of the course.

Introduction to Frisbee Golf

If you haven't played frisbee golf before, these are the most important rules you need to know.

• Each hole starts at a marked teeing ground (teepad).

• After the throw, all subsequent throws must be made from the spot where the disc lands.

• The person furthest from the basket throws first, even if that means you have to throw several times in a row.

• No player may walk in front of the thrower. This is to avoid dangerous situations.

• The hole is complete when the disk remains in the basket.

• The player who threw the fewest balls on the previous hole starts first on the next throw.

• Show consideration for other players by being quiet and remaining still when they throw.

Rules for using the track

• Show respect for other people, animals and nature.

• Do not throw if you may hit others or do not have a clear view of the area.

• Be careful when picking up disks near the river, there may be slippery rocks or edges.

• All use of the facility is at your own risk.
